Q. If we order a companion Portrait Urn, can we order additional Portrait Urns as individual urns (or vice versa)? A. Yes, when multiple Portrait Urns are being commissioned, you can commission both companion and individual Portrait Urns. Q. We are not sure if we will use the Portrait Urn(s) for keepsake items or remains. May we have what is needed for using the Portrait Urn(s) to hold both keepsake items and remains? A. Yes, please indicate that this is your preference in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. Q. Are there other sized original portraits available besides 8x8”? A. Yes, please indicate the size that you would like in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. We will let you know the price after consulting with the artist. Please note that we do not offer original portraits smaller than 8x8". Q. May we order only the 4x4” size portrait reproductions and not any 8x8” portraits? A. No, we must begin with an 8x8” (or larger) portrait, from which we can make 8x8” or 4x4” reproductions. Q. May we order an 8x8” portrait of a couple together? A. If you would like to have a portrait of a couple together in one painting/sculpture, we can create a companion Portrait Urn with a single 8x12” painting/sculpture. The price would be the same as a companion urn with two separate portraits. If you would like the couple to be painted/sculpted in one image, please state this preference in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. Q. Can we have a portrait that shows the entire person instead of head and shoulders? A. Yes, but the painting/sculture will have to be larger. Please indicate this preference in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. We will let you know the price after consulting with the artist. Q. Can we have a pet in the portrait with the person? A. Yes, but pricing would be the same as a companion Portrait Urn, and the size of the portrait would be 8x12”. If you would like to have a portrait that includes a pet with the person, please order the companion Portrait Urn and indicate in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form your preference to include the pet in an 8x12” portrait. Q. We would like to create a Portrait Urn for a pet. Can we have a portrait of a pet? A. Yes, and all pricing is the same for Portrait Urns for pets. Q. May I purchase a hand painted or hand sculpted portrait alone without the urn? A. Yes, but we cannot offer discounts for this option. Please indicate your preference to have the portrait shipped without the urn in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. Q. Can we order a Portrait Urn with a photograph rather than a painted portrait? A. Yes, we can create an archival print of a photograph on canvas. The price is $795 for individual Portrait Urns and $1495 for companion Portrait Urns. Q. Can I take possession of my Portrait Urn now and arrange for its use as an urn at my passing? A. Yes, your Portrait Urn can be ordered pre-need and you can indicate to loved ones your wish to have it be used as an urn at your passing. Q. If I order multiple Portrait Urns pre-need, who will be responsible for the distributions of my ashes to my loved ones who have the Portrait Urns? A. You will need to arrange the distribution with your loved ones and/or with a funeral director. Q. May I mail a photo for use in the creation of the portrait rather than uploading from a computer? A. Yes, you can mail the photo(s) to Portrait Urn, 612 S. 2nd St., Maquoketa, IA 52060. Q. What type of photo besides a non-flash would be most beneficial for your use? Will it be returned? A. A close-up photo that shows head and shoulders is best. Good detail and focus is also important. If you mail the photo(s) to us rather than uploading in the order form, it will be returned to you with your Portrait Urn(s). Q. If we desire another font style, can we use one other than those listed as available fonts for inscriptions? A. Yes, please indicate the font that you would like to use in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. If we do not have that font, we will look at other alternatives. Q. Are there other finishes available for Portrait Urns besides Jacobean and Clear Lacquer? A. Yes, please describe the finish color or request a particular product in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. There will be an additional charge, and we will let you know the amount when we know what you would like. Q. We are ordering multiple Portrait Urns… can we have different inscriptions on each Portrait Urn? A. Yes, please let us know what the inscriptions will be in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. Q. We are ordering multiple Portrait Urns… can we have an inscription on one Portrait Urn and not on the other? A. Yes, please request this in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. Q. We are ordering multiple Portrait Urns… can we have different finishes on each Portrait Urn? A. Yes, please let us know how many Portrait Urns you would like with each finish in the questions and comments box at the end of the order form. Q. We are ordering multiple Portrait Urns… can we have different portrait styles for each Portrait Urn? A. Yes, the order form allows you to specify how many Portrait Urns you would like in each style. |
